Acupuncture in Uganda

Titus Serunjogi, a journalist for the New Vision newspaper in Uganda has written an article introducing acupuncture to his readership. This short piece, sent to me by a patient recently, focuses just a little too often on the issue of low libido. Titus felt compelled to tell us of a ‘hardening in the groins’ following needles in the thigh. But he also outlines the basic principles of Chinese Medicine with some accuracy. It is interesting to see how acupuncture is developing a presence in Africa. Click here to see the article.
In other Ugandan news – Obama’s visit to Ethiopia, talks between Uganda and DR Congo and Al Shabaab’s killing of six in Mogadishu. Air Force One touched down at Addis Ababa’s international airport after a short flight north from the Kenyan capital Nairobi, and the president was greeted on the tarmac by Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.
