Scepticism alert!

Our friend Mel Kopperman has unearthed a little known doctor from Montreal as the latest sceptic on the efficacy of acupuncture. Read her eloquent and courteous response to his claims by clicking here. This may not be of much interest to my patients but it is important to recognise how the subtle influences of unskilled sceptics in the medical and academic fields affect our ability to get on with treating people effectively with acupuncture.
As Nudge friends know, I am committed to being a research led practitioner and I scrutinise new research and its validity alongside my Acupuncture peers. It is worth taking the time to look at the available research, especially the Cochrane reviews cited here, for good solid scientific conclusions about Chinese Medicine being practised today.
